Allan has been developing software professionally for 25 years. He has founded and worked in several startups as well as heading custom software development at Accenture Finland and heading the Nokia Vancouver office. Allan has a Masters in CS from the University of Helsinki. Currently he is self-employed at his current company, Varpu Works Oy.

Andrey Savchenko

Andrey “Rarst” Savchenko is a WordPress contractor from Kiev, Ukraine.

He believes in a Web of content sites that are a delight to discover, read, and navigate. For that he helps other developers with complex tasks and long–term value goals. His services include: make it fast, automate menial tasks, stare down a legacy codebase, fix the world (one bug at a time).

In his free time he likes to drink tea, read science fiction, and read every tweet in his timeline.

Antonio Villegas

Antonio Villegas obtained his PhD in Computer Science in 2013. He has several publications in the field of data mining and information retrieval applied to conceptual modeling and health informatics. Now he’s one of the founders of Nelio Software, a company from Barcelona devoted to WordPress plugin development. Antonio is an active contributor to the WordPress community in Spain and participates in local meetups and WordCamps. He’s currently a member of the Attendee Services team organizing WordCamp Europe 2019.

Bjørn Johansen

Bjørn has been a full-time web developer since 2001, and has during those years touched upon many areas including consulting, training, project management, client support, and DevOps. He has worked with WordPress since 2006, and he is a plugin author, core contributor, WordCamp speaker, WordCamp co-organizer and Translation Editor for Norwegian Bokmål. Currently, he works as CTO at Maksimer in Norway.

Christian Nikkanen

Self-taught, “get stuff done” full stack developer. Has worked with WordPress almost as long as he has been writing code. Isn’t afraid of saying no to the client and has a cynical thought process.

Dominik Schilling

Dominik Schilling is a Web Developer at required and a WordPress core developer with a strong passion for WordPress.

He led the WordPress 4.6 release, component maintainer of Internationalization and is the technical lead of the Polyglots team. Since that’s not enough he also takes part in the WordPress.org meta and security teams to make translate.wordpress.org more awesome and WordPress more secure.

Elisa Heikura

Elisa is a compassionate extrovert with a considerably long history working alongside developers of all sorts. She has noticed some patterns and challenges most developers have to deal with and has devoted her working hours to doing her best to help. She coaches, teaches, speaks, writes, and facilitates. Keywords: communication, interaction, teamwork, emotions, feedback, conflict and problem solving and – yes, even – love.

Felix Arntz

Felix is a Developer Programs Engineer at Google and WordPress core committer from Germany, currently residing in Switzerland. He has been involved in contributing to WordPress and the open web for several years. His efforts revolve around both user experience and developer experience, with adoption of progressive web technologies and modern best practices, and application of proper data structures and design patterns. Within WordPress core, he is a maintainer of the Multisite, Capabilities and REST API components. In addition to that, he has published numerous open source plugins and libraries. Before joining Google, he was a freelancer and part-time contractor for Yoast.

When not doing WordPress stuff, he spends his time producing music, playing the piano and soccer. He does all of that while drinking a lot of Mountain Dew.

Francesca Marano

Francesca is the WordPress Community Manager at SiteGround. She is part of the WordPress community team, organizing meetups and WordCamps in Torino and taking part in many other WordPress events worldwide.

She founded C+B, a blog with an editorial staff of more than sixty authors offering daily advice for Italian female creative entrepreneurs. Now we are more than 80 authors at C+B!

Otto Kekäläinen

Otto Kekäläinen is the CEO of Seravo, a company that provides premium hosting and upkeep for WordPress. Otto has been using and advocating for Linux and other open source technologies professionally for over 15 years, among others as the CEO for the MariaDB Foundation. His first blog in 2004 was made with WordPress and he has been deeply involved with the platform for a number of years.

Piccia Neri

Piccia Neri has a background in art theory, and has been a practicing designer for over 2 decades, working with cultural institutions and top London agencies on global brands. Piccia led the creative direction of the design department at the British Film Institute, London. She was vice-president of the Chartered Society of Designers (UK) 2013-16.

Piccia runs her own web & design consultancy agency out of Valencia, Spain. She educates geeks on design and speaks at conferences on design topics.

Sarah Semark

Sarah Semark calls herself a “designer who codes”. After spending eight years freelancing, she now works for Automattic, where she works on new products & emerging technologies.

She lives in Scotland in a small flat with tall ceilings, but can often be found tapping away anywhere there’s a power outlet—from Soviet sleeper trains to a hut in the Amazon. Taeke Reijenga is an all-round WordPress professional and the founder of Level Level, a full service WordPress agency based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He is a co-organizer of WordCamp Rotterdam and WordCamp Europe and frequent WordCamp visitor. Taeke has over fourteen years experience in web development and has been working with WordPress since version 2.0. In his spare time he loves to cook, enjoy food, travel, and experience cultures.

Thomas Audunhus

Thomas is the Head of WordPress and WooCommerce at Servebolt.com, the high performance managed hosting for WordPress and WooCommerce. He has been in the web industry for 7 years, and working with the web longer. He built his first WordPress site with WordPress v2.3, and was the lead organiser of WordCamp Oslo in 2018, and will be so again for the 2019 edition.

He is a passionate web performance advocate, and has built some of Norway’s fastest WooCommerce stores.

Thomas Hurd

Thomas has been focusing on designing and building user-focused experiences for years. He has grown up, lived, and worked in various countries across the globe from New Zealand to Uganda. These experiences have given him a unique perspective and ability to understand the specific needs of “aliens” throughout the world when it comes to digital services.

Thor Andre Gretland

Thor Andre Gretland (37) is senior consultant at Frontkom – a company of 45 behind Gutenberg JS and Drupal Gutenberg. His recent projects include some of Norway’s most prolific Universities, like NMBU.no. This spring he is leading the Gutenberg implementation for Unicef.no – on Drupal!

Thor Andre is also former board leader of the Norwegian Drupal Association. He loves his family of 4, guitars, and a good laugh.
